DAY 1 : Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu >
Airport pick up by our guide to a hotel situated in the heart of Thamel, one of the busiest and popular markets in Kathmandu. Kindly inform us your time of arrival. Our guide will brief you on the trip information and bring you to the best eateries/ shopping at your request.
DAY 2 : Kathmandu - Duncha >
Maximum height: 2020m
After breakfast, we will catch a coach that departs at 7am to Duncha. You can enjoy the scenic drive through Trishuli Valley, terraced fields, river and mountains.
DAY 3 : Duncha - Sing Gompa >
Maximum height: 3250m | 5-6 hours of walking
After a short trek into the forest, you will cross a suspension bridge and follow a flat trail along the river. Thereafter, you will ascend steeply a winding trail of stone-concrete steps until you reach a military camp at Dhimsa. After Dhimsa, you will ascend gently through the forest to reach your resting place for the night.
DAY 4 : Sing Gompa - Gosaikunda >
Maximum height: 4380m | 5-6 hours of walking
From Sing Gompa, the trail gradually climbs to the ridge through the rhododendron forest with dry scrub vegetation followed by a difficult one and half hour steep climb to reach Lauribinayak. After lunch, you will take on the most difficult part of the trail, ascending steeply all the way to Gosaikunda Lake. The breathtaking view of the sapphire lake is your reward for your resilience.
DAY 5 : Gosaikunda Lake - Gople >
Maximum height: 4610m | 6-7 hours of walking
After breakfast, you will leave Gosaikunda Lake and pass by four more lakes en-route to Laurebina La, the highest point of this trek. After the pass, you will descend to Phedi, passing through valleys and rhododendron and pine forest.
DAY 6 : Gopta - Kutumsang >
Maximum height: 2450m | 6-7 hours of walking
Along this easy descend, you can enjoy a good view of the Himalaya such as Dorje Lakpa, Jugal himal range, Gauri Shankar and Tibetan range mountain including Shisa Pangma (8,012m).
DAY 7 : Kutumsang - Chisopani >
Maximum height: 2160m | 5-6 hours of walking
You will pass by villages along the ridge with the view of Helambu lower valley and snowcapped Himalayas.
DAY 8 : Chisopani – Sundarijal - Kathmandu >
You will walk uphill for about an hour and half before descending through dense forest with a scenic view of Kathmandu valley via Shivapuri National Park. You will then take a one hour jeep ride back to Kathmandu for a celebratory dinner to mark the completion of your trek.
DAY 9 : Departure >
Do some last minute shopping or take your own sweet time in Kathmandu before you depart for home. Our guide will drop you at the airport.
