Unlike the hilly Kathmandu and Pokhara cities, Chitwan has a hotter climate and appeal to wildlife lovers who come here for its famous national park and unique culture.


The village tour lets you catch a glimpse of the Tharu culture and lifesyle. You may consider cycling around the village. The Tharu community reside along the entire length of the Terai plains of Nepal but Chitwan are is especially popular for their traditional culture. While it is possible to navigate this small village on your own, a guide will be able to give you a more enriching experience, pointing out little anecdotes and features of the villages as you move along.
The jeep safari is an excellent way to observe the wild animals and travel through the jungles in Sauraha. This national park boasts more than 68 different species of mammals and over 500 species of birds. You will have a good chance to see animals like the one-horn rhino, hog, deer, macaque, and asian elephant. On a lucky day, you can see the black bear, the bengal tiger, leopard and the sloth bear.
