DAY 1 : Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu >
Airport pick up by our guide to a hotel situated in the heart of Thamel, one of the busiest and popular markets in Kathmandu. Kindly inform us your time of arrival. Our guide will brief you on the trip information and bring you to the best eateries/ shopping at your request.
DAY 2 : Kathmandu to Pokhara >
Take a 6-7 hour morning bus ride from Kathmandu to Pokhara, a scenic city known for its lakes and panaromic view of the mountains. You’ll reach in the evening and you can do some light exploring around the lakeside filled with both modern and traditional cafes and restaurants. Enjoy a nice and chill evening before the trek next morning.
DAY 3 : Pokhara to Nayapul and trek to Ulleri >
Maximum height: 1860m | 5-6 hour of walking
After breakfast, we will take a 45 min jeep ride to Nayapul, (1100m) the starting point of our trek. You will embark on a uphill trek to Ulleri (1860m). You’ll walk through beautiful local villages, terraced farmlands, hills, waterfalls, rivers and some steep rocky stairs.
DAY 4 : Ulleri to Ghorepani >
Maximum height: 2860m | 5-6 hours of walking
You will embark on 4-5 hours of uphill and downhill walking to Ghorepani (2800m), a prosperous village where you also see the splendid Annapurna mountain range at this altitude. Explore Ghorepani village upon arrival.
DAY 5 : Ghorepani to Poonhill viewpoint and Tadapani (2630m) >
Maximum height: 3210m | 5-6 hours of walking
The highlight of this trek is the one hour sunrise hike to the Poonhill viewpoint. You will ascend a flight of rocky stairs before the sun is up and witness the surreal and majestic mountain peaks glowing in the first rays of the light. At the peak you can see mountains like Mt. Annapurna I (8,091m), Annapurna II (7937m), Annapurna III (7555m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Mt. Nilgiri (7,040m), Annapurna South (7219m), Himchuli (6441m), Lamjung Himal (6,986m), Machhapuchhre (6,997m), and other smaller peaks. After breakfast, you will descend to Tadapani, crossing thick Rhodendron forest.
DAY 6 : Tadapani to Chhomrong (or Sinuwa) >
Maximum height: 2340m (or 2400m) | 5-6 hours of walking
More downhill walking awaits us today as we again trek rhododendron and oak forests. We'll arrive at the lofty Gurung village of Chhomrong by lunchtime, giving you a bit of time to explore the fantastic views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre.
DAY 7 : Chomrong (or Sinuwa) to Himalaya Hotel (or Deurali) >
Maximum height: 2870m (or 3200m) | 5 – 6 hours of walking
Another precipitous stone staircase guides our way today as we descend towards the Chhomrong Khola. We shift gears at that point and will climb in the direction of Modi Khola, traveling its west bank, and pass through leafy bamboo forests. More upward travel awaits us in the afternoon as we head towards Kuldi and then another staircase down to Dovan from where we will continue another hour to Himalaya Hotel, where we'll rest after a vigorous day.
DAY 8 : Himalaya Hotel (or Deurali) to Annapurna Base Camp>
Maximum height: 4130m | 6 - 7 hours of walking
You'll feel the bite of the thin air today as we climb high above our starting point of Himalaya Hotel, overlooking a river far below. We'll scale the lateral moraine of a shimmering glacier and then come down the other side to the glacier bed before reaching the Annapurna Base Camp. A breathtaking 4,237m above sea level, this is our stopping point for the night. It's time to reap the rewards of your hard trekking work! Miles above earth, we have all day today to wander the base camp and drink in the beauty and majesty of Annapurna.The sunrise and sunset are spectacular displays of natural theater, and not to be missed. Make sure your camera is charged!
DAY 9 : Annapurna Base Camp - Bamboo (2310m) >
We'll savor one last fiery Annapurna sunrise before beginning our trek down the mountain. Our route today ends in the village of Bamboo, named for the dense forest of tall bamboo that surrounds it. From the Annapurna base camp we retrace our steps to Bamboo. Today’s trek is downhill, so it shouldn’t be very difficult. Besides, we will always have the company of the extraordinary landscape to cheer us up.
DAY 10 : Bamboo to Jhinu Danda >
Maximum height: 1760m | 5 - 6 hours of walking
From Bamboo, it is an uphill trek to Kuldighar followed by a downhill walk to Chhomrong Khola. Then we climb the stone steps to Chhomrong. The trail then descends to Jhinu Danda, where we will be resting for the night. Today we will have an opportunity to enjoy the hot springs which is just a 15-20 minute downhill walk from Jhinu Danda to soothe our aching body. Overnight in Jhinu Danda.
DAY 11 : Trek to NayaPool then drive to Pokhara >
On our way to Naya Pul from Jhinu Danda, we get to enjoy the amazing hill landscape of western Nepal. We have lunch on the way. Our trek will end at Naya Pul where we board our vehicle to Pokhara.
DAY 12 : Pokhara to Kathmandu >
Catch the early bus to Kathmandu and stay the night in Kathmandu. You deserve a celebratory dinner before you depart for home. Check with your guide for dining recommendation.
DAY 13 : Departure >
Do some last minute shopping or take your own sweet time in Kathmandu before you depart for home. Our guide will drop you at the airport.
