DAY 1 : Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu >
Airport pick up by our guide to a hotel situated in the heart of Thamel, one of the busiest and popular markets in Kathmandu. Kindly inform us your time of arrival. Our guide will brief you on the trip information and bring you to the best eateries/ shopping at your request.
DAY 2 : Kathmandu - Pokhara >
Take a 6-7 hour morning bus ride from Kathmandu to Pokhara, a scenic city known for its lakes and panaromic view of the mountains. You’ll reach in the evening and you can do some light exploring around the lakeside filled with both modern and traditional cafes and restaurants. Enjoy a nice and chill evening before the trek next morning.
DAY 3 : Pokhara – Australian Camp >
Maximum height: 2000m | 6 hours of walking
After an early morning breakfast, we start our adventure with a drive to Hemja (25 minutes) and start our 6 hour trek from there. We walk on stone steps, terraced fields and through villages and forests before reaching Dhampus where we have lunch. We continue our walk to Australian base camp which is a small village beautifully located on a ridge with good views of the Annapurna mountain range which include fishtail, Mardi Himal, Annapurna south, Annapurna II and IV.
DAY 4 : Australian Base Camp – Forest Camp >
Maximum height: 2600m | 6-7 hours of walking
Our trail passes through lush forest dotted with the red rhododendrons. The flowers are a common sight in Nepalese hills and it is no surprise that its Nepal’s national flower. Our trail is very quiet until we reach a clearing of the forest camp. We can take a rest and explore the area which is also known locally as Kokar.
DAY 5 : Forest Camp - High camp >
Maximum height: 3550m | 5-6 hours of walking
We continue to walk through dense forests admiring Nepal’s rich biodiversity and reach the low camp. From here, the fantastic view of Mt. Machapuchhre (Mt. Fishtail) up the valley is mesmerizing. After lunch, we trek uphill alongside a ridge towards Mardi Himal and Macchhapuchhre. The tree lines start getting thinner and the area mostly consists of shrubs with isolated rhododendron bushes along the trail. If lucky, we might even come across the Daphne pheasant (national bird of Nepal) on our way to high camp. We ascend up to the high camp (3350m), which is the final destination of the day. From here the mountain views are stunning. We will spend the night in high camp.
DAY 6 : High Camp - Mardi Himal Base Camp - High camp >
Maximum height: 4500m | 6 hours of walking
You will trek to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4500m) early in the morning. Our trail passes through pastures and will hike along a narrow ridge. The view of the Himalayan vista from here is breathtaking. We can see Mardi Himal (5587m), Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna south (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Baraha Shikhar (Mt. Fang) (7647m), Tent Peak (5695m), Singhachuli (6501m), Machapuchhre (6993m) and others. You will trek back to the high camp for an overnight stay.
DAY 7 : High Camp – Sidding Village (1600m) >
Maximum height: 1900m | 5-6 hours of walking
We will take the same route to low camp before we head to Sidding village, then we take a different route down to the village. Sidding offers a quiet stay for trekkers as it is tucked away from the busier trails.
DAY 8 : Siding Village – Lwang Village >
Maximum height: 1400m | 5 hours walking
Today, we continue to walk through local villages admiring Nepal’s rich culture and lifestyle. Your destination village is Lwang and you will get to stay with a Nepali family who will prepare your meals and lodging. In the afternoon, you will get to hike up and explore the terraced tea plantation.
DAY 9 : Lwang Village – Khuramokh- Pokhara >
You will enjoy a short walk to Khuramokh and then take a 2-hour jeep ride to Pokhara.
DAY 10 : Pokhara to Kathmandu >
Catch the early bus to Kathmandu and stay the night in Kathmandu. You deserve a celebratory dinner before you depart for home. Check with your guide for dining recommendation!
DAY 11 : Departure >
Do some last minute shopping or take your own sweet time in Kathmandu before you depart for home. Our guide will drop you at the airport.
